If you walk around the neighborhoods of Southside you are guaranteed to see about 3 cats per block. Porch cats are almost more abundant than flower pots. We start the album off with the classic orange tabby keeping a watch over its domain.
Another Orange Tabby
This cat quickly approached to receive petting and sweet talk.
A new challenger approaches
Another orange tabby approached us soon after. The tension in the air was palpable.
The Confrontation
Hissing and arching of backs ensues.
Black and white cat
This fellow was kind enough to cooperate and face the camera (I have way too many pictures of cat's butts).
Siamese (maybe mix)
The model was somewhat hard to work with and only permitted pictures to be taken while it was under a car.
Black cat
I caught this cat unawares as its ears were rotating.
Another black cat
This cat could care less.
Deep Thoughts cat
This cat seemed to be contemplating life.
Sleepy orange cat
Enjoying some shade and cold dirt.
Our last cat (for now)
Humans think we invented the front porch, but it is obvious to me that cats influenced us until we built the porches for them.
Not a cat
This dog thought he was a cat.
